Allister Godfrey

Director

Allister finished his studies at Oxford Brookes University in 1999 with Postgraduate Diplomas in both Architecture and Built Resource Studies. In 2000 he registered with the ARB and RIBA as a Chartered Architect.

Prior to founding Allister Godfrey Architects in 2005, Allister spent 5 years with Anderson Orr Architects delivering a wide range of architectural projects in the residential and educational sectors.

Allister’s passion and expertise helps him deliver award-winning, contemporary residential design. Modest and exciting extensions through to innovative ways of extending historic properties up to designing large single-family homes are all part of his skill set. He also is experienced with multi-unit developments, particularly with challenging sites.

Allister contributes to the RIBA’s mentoring scheme, helping undergraduates transition from education to the realities of practice.

His spare time is currently split between two interests, cycling and photography. In 2018 he cycled 300 miles during the month of September, raising over £800 for Cancer Research UK. In 2022 Allister achieved a Licentiate distinction from the Royal Photographic Society.

Charlotte Ledger

Architectural Assistant (RIBA Part 1)
Part-time

Charlotte joined the practice having graduated from the Oxford School of Architecture at Oxford Brookes University. During her final year of study, Charlotte participated in the RIBA’s mentoring scheme where she was mentored by Allister. This experience helped her gain valuable real-world knowledge and gave some insight into life in an architecture practice.

Charlotte’s passion for architecture started from an early age with her key interests being in Maths, Art and technical drawing throughout her school years. Additionally, Charlotte’s enthusiasm can be traced from her travels, frequently being drawn towards historic buildings and their heritage.

In her spare time, Charlotte enjoys playing golf, frequently exploring courses around Sussex and Surrey.

Charlotte embarked on her Part 2 course, studying for MA Architecture at Brighton in 2023.
